LISA

Vocals & Piano

Lisa has been singing and performing for over 25 years, from professional dinner theater to Boston area clubs and restaurants, to summer stock, to cable TV. She has also been playing the piano and guitar for over 25 years. She is a licensed Music Teacher in the state of Massachusetts and currently teaches Pre-K to 8th Grade at St. Rose School in Chelsea. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME and MMEA). Her degree is in Musical Theater from the Boston Conservatory of Music, and she has also studied music at Berklee College. Her many roles include BeBe in A Chorus Line with Laurie Gamache and Robert Lupone dancing the original Broadway choreography.
 
Her other roles include Jenny in Shenandoah and Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. For a few years, she led her own jazz ensemble called “Standard Hits”. Besides teaching voice privately, her experience includes teaching professional ballroom dance, jazz and tap dance and choreographing musicals, leading and coaching vocal and instrumental ensembles, and writing and directing shows and productions. Although Lisa does not perform professionally any more, she still sings and plays at weddings, funerals and functions, and loves to sing and play the piano and guitar at her church.
