Jason Ramon Mejia born in Boston, Massachusetts, on January 23,1986 is a trumpeter,composer, band leader, music educator and also a multi- instrumentalist, and Director of the Omega Band. While also having performed on the alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, flugelhorn, piccolo trumpet, trombone and piano. He has accompanied various famous artists Such as Jerry Rivera(salsa), Paquito Acosta(salsa), Tito Rojas (salsa), Benny Sadel (merengue), Sandy Reyes(merengue) Esperanza Spalding (jazz), Michel Camilo (latin jazz) etc and has also played with different local bands.

At the age of 18 he started attending the New England Conservatory (NEC) in Boston, Massachusetts gaining a bachelor’s degree in music performance before attending that prestigious school he attended the Walnut Hill School in Natick, Massachusetts. He has been a member of the New England Brass Quintet (classical music ensemble) for over three years.
